Home Groups and First Tuesday
Home Groups
Many people in our fellowship belong to a Home Group. These are small groups that meet in homes in the 2nd and 4th weeks of each month, to study the Bible, encourage each other and pray together. Some groups meet on a Monday; others on Tuesday. A new day time group is being set up. Home Groups are relaxed and fun.

First Tuesday
At 8pm on the first Tuesday of each month, we meet together to pray, study the Bible and worship God. Sometimes it will be in one of our halls; other times it may be in church. The idea is for us to learn from God's word together and to pray for the life and ministry of our church. In October Nick Lang did a special study for us of 1 Corinthians 1: 18-end. He had felt for a while that the Lord was encouraging him, and all of us, to reaffirm the message of the cross in our own spiritual lives and the life of St John's. A recording of Nick's talk is available here: Talk - 1st Tuesday - 2 October 07
In March 2008, on the evenings of 4th and 5th at 8p.m. and on Wednesday 5th at 10.45a.m. Nick Lang led a study on "The Building of the Taberanacle"(cursor down to 4th Mar for the talk). It was participative and light and was the starting point for our time of recommitment and preparation for our efforts to raise £5m for Cornerstone, our project to develop our buildings into a modern Church centre. What is this story saying to us today?
