GROUPS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

We have a wide range of activities for children and young people.  Some are built around a programme of Christian teaching especially suitable for each age group. All have an emphasis on fun and learning together in a safe environment.
Your children are welcome whether or not you are a member of St. John's or any other church. We invite any children who may be visiting in the area or who would like to 'just try' our activities to come along to any of our groups. It would however be helpful if parents/guardians could contact the relevant leader so we can ensure your child is welcomed and encouraged to join in when they come along.

Each child should complete an Annual Medical Registration Form when joining our groups:

Sunday Morning - PLAY MAT
There is a carpeted area with toys available where parents can stay in church and keep their little ones occupied.

Sunday Morning - CRECHE for the under 3's
There is a supervised creche every Sunday morning. The service is relayed to the creche room should you need to sit out.

Sunday Morning - SCRAMBLERS/CLIMBERS
For children aged 3+ to school year 2.

Sunday Morning - EXPLORERS
For children in school years 3 to 6.

Sunday Morning - PATHFINDERS

For children in school years 7 to 9
 
Monday evenings  - CYFA for school years 10 and over.
The group now meets on Monday evenings in the Vicarage and explores a wide range of challenging topics in an imagainative way.

Tuesday - THE ARK  10.00 - 11.45 am
Our parent and baby/toddler group gives parents and children the opportunity to meet and make new friends. 

We have our own uniformed group, KINGFISHERS  who have a varied programme of teaching, fun activities and games:

KINGFISHERS - Wednesdays 5.30 - 6.30 p.m.
This is for children from age 4 up to school year 2 and meets in the Middle Hall.
